Dr. Muhammad Abdul Goffar Khan is a name that resonates with excellence and inspiration at RUET. A distinguished Professor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, he earned his Ph.D. in High Voltage Engineering from the prestigious IIT Kanpur in 1998. Following his doctorate, he lead the establishment of the High Voltage Laboratory at RUET, a landmark achievement that provided students with hands-on experience in addressing real-world engineering challenges.
With over four decades of dedicated service, Dr. Khan has transformed engineering education by prioritizing practical applications over traditional theoretical approaches. As the Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), he played a pivotal role in introducing the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system to RUET, envisioning a future where engineering students are equipped to excel in real-life scenarios.
Dr. Khan’s unwavering commitment to research and teaching has left an indelible mark on RUET’s academic landscape. A former Vice President of IEEE Bangladesh, he embodies the phrase, “When energy is exponentially proportional to age,” inspiring students and colleagues alike.
